General Information:

The goal of the club is to increase student interest in libraries, develop leadership, and promote the joy of reading. The club meets once a month and occasionally at recess. The main activity of the club members is working in the library before school and at recess. They help students with books, computer assignments, newspaper articles and any other needs students may have. Each member is assigned a section of the bookshelves and he/she is responsible for keeping that section neat and orderly. Points are earned each time a member works and the goal is to earn enough points to go on the club field trip in the spring.

Membership Requirements:

1.     Schedule time to work as an assistant before school and during recess in the library and computer lab.

2.     Maintain overall 2.5 grade point average or higher.

3.    Enjoy reading and working with books.

4.    Ability to assist other students with computer programs.

5.    Display good behavior at club meetings and in all classes.

6.    Participate in All club activities

7.    Pay $10.00 dues.

Activities:

We will participate in our field trip in March, National Library Week in April, and Mrs. Wax’s Swimming
Party at the end of the year!
